2015 NACDB Honor Award for Best Ancillary Facility
Pleasant Hills, Hutchinson, Kansas
Pleasant Hills is a planned retirement community owned by Pleasant View Home, Inman, Kansas. The Design Build Team of Fuqua Construction, Landmark Architects and Owner handled site development, community planning and building design, providing homes for the elderly in a natural habitat with upscale amenities, quality construction and personalized care as priorities.
Fuqua Construction worked closely with the staff at Pleasant View Home and Landmark Architects as they planned this new community. The desire is to provide person-centered care that feels like home and not like an institution. The first unit has been completed and has passed the stringent inspections of the Kansas State Fire Marshall and the Kansas Department of Aging and has been approved for licensing and occupation. The local churches of Inman are the financial supporters and local church members sit on the Board of Directors, making decisions for the resident’s care from a place of spiritual support and concern.
